1/2 way through Summer

Wow! It's July 15th already. In my mind that's 1/2 through Summer! -- We got back to Florida on Sunday after a minor delay sitting on the tarmac. I guess after hearing about the Southwest flight, a rivet might be kinda important. Our plane needed one replaced. hmmm

Only 10 days to go till Maui!! 8 adults and 5 kids...should be fun. The last time we were all together was several years ago in Sun River at Christmas. This time the beach in Maui!! This has been planned for about a year. Finding dates that everybody can/will commit to is always difficult. One of the party has a deathly fear of flying...so I'm sure alcohol might be required to sooth the nerves.

We fly back to Colorado on Wednesday evening the 22nd, work Thursday/Friday and then leave on Saturday mid-morning for the 7 hour direct flight to Maui. Lisa and I are in the front of the bus, while Kristi & Haig and the girls, arrive a millisecond after we do back in coach!

We are making our plans to move back to Colorado soon. Our lease expires September 30 and we do not plan to renew or extend. I've cleared it with my boss and Miguel the VP of Sales I support. We'll return here after Maui and start the more detailed planning. I want to pay somebody to do most of it, while we take a 3 day road trip to move the car and some small stuff. The question is logistics with Simba etc. Apparently AAA will plot a route for us with pet friendly motels. We've left him in Colorado for the week, with Kristi is looking after him.

We are under contract to sell our townhouse!! Which is another saga that will be a blog entry unto itself. Projected close date is Aug 10th, maybe sooner.

My CU football season tickets have arrived! Nothing says the end of Summer quite like watching the buffs!

Now we just need the first new issue of Powder magazine to arrive and Summer will be officially over!
